The wide oval shape actually fits a whole chicken without cramming it in, which was the whole reason I switched from my old round pot. Heat distribution is dead even and the graphite grey enamel hides stains way better than I expected.

I've been using this oval Dutch oven for braises and it fits a whole chicken with room to spare, which my old round one never could. The cast iron heats so evenly that nothing scorches on the bottom anymore, and cleanup is honestly easier than I expected.
