The 0.75 qt size is perfect for a bowl of rice or a small batch of oatmeal, and the cast iron heats so evenly there are no scorched spots at the bottom. The matte black finish looks great sitting out on the stove, too.

Bought this for making a single serving of rice and it's become my go-to pot. The cast iron holds heat so well that I can turn the burner off early and the rice still finishes perfectly. That matte black finish also looks great sitting out on the stove.

The 0.75 qt size is perfect for a single serving of rice or a small side of grits, and cleanup takes about a minute since nothing sticks. It's heavier than I expected for such a petite pot, but that heft is exactly why it holds heat so well.
