The black enamel interior doesn't need seasoning like my old raw cast iron did, which is a relief. Made braised short ribs in it Sunday and the heat distribution was impressively even, no hot spots on the bottom.

The 5.5 qt size is perfect for a whole chicken with veggies, and the sesame enamel interior releases everything cleanly. Bread comes out with a crackly crust every time. Heavier than my old pot but worth it.

I've been browning short ribs in this thing and the heat distribution is so even that I barely have to rotate the pot. The 5.5 qt size handles a whole chicken with room for veggies, and cleanup has been way easier than my old Dutch oven.
