The basil color is even prettier in person, and the pumpkin shape makes me smile every time I pull it out for stews. The cast iron holds heat so evenly that my short ribs came out fall-apart tender, and the stainless knob means I can move it straight into the oven.

The 3.5 quart size is perfect for a batch of chili for two people with leftovers, and the basil color looks even better on my stove than in the photos. The stainless steel knob is a nice upgrade too since I can throw the whole thing in the oven without swapping anything out.

I've been using this for braises and it goes straight from the stove into the oven without any worry. The basil color is deeper in person, and the stainless knob means I don't have to baby it at high heat. Cleanup's been easier than my old pot since nothing sticks to the enamel.
