Buy Staub Cast Iron French oven

I've been using this 5 quart size for braising short ribs and the heat distribution is remarkably even, no scorching on the bottom at all. The cherry enamel wipes clean way easier than my old bare cast iron, which is why it's earned a permanent spot on my stove.

The cherry color is even more vivid in person, and the 5-quart size handles a whole chicken with room to spare. Cleanup has been a breeze so far, which I didn't expect from cast iron.

Heavy lid traps moisture so well that my stews come out juicier than they ever did in my old pot, and the cherry color makes it the centerpiece of my stovetop. Splurged a bit on shipping, but the even heat distribution is worth every penny.
