The oval shape actually fits a whole chicken without cramming it in, which my old round pot never managed. Cleanup's been easy too since nothing sticks to the black enamel interior. It's heavy, but that's kind of the point.

The graphite grey finish hides stains way better than my old white enamel pot ever did. I've been braising short ribs in it every Sunday and the heat distribution is noticeably even, no scorching on the bottom. Heavy as heck, but that's cast iron for you.
