The black matte interior is a nice change from the white enamel on my old dutch oven, so no more staining from tomato sauces. It's heavier than I expected for such a small pot, but that's exactly why it holds heat so well for rice and small batches of soup.

Bought this 1.25 qt size for single servings of soup and it's become my go-to pot. The cast iron holds heat so well that I can turn the burner off and my stew keeps simmering for a while.

The 1.25 qt size is perfect for a single serving of soup or a couple of eggs, and the graphite grey looks way nicer on my stove than I expected. The cast iron heats so evenly that I've basically stopped using my nonstick pan for sauces.
