Beli Staub Cast Iron Cocotte

The 13.25 quart size is almost comically big, but it's perfect for batch cooking — I made enough chili for eight people with room to spare. The matte black enamel has held up beautifully through several long oven sessions, no staining at all.

I braised short ribs for a crowd of twelve in this and there was still room to spare — 13.25 quarts is genuinely huge. The cast iron heats so evenly that nothing scorched on the bottom, even after three hours.

The matte black finish hides stains way better than my old enameled pot, and the 13.25 qt size fits a whole batch of chili with room to spare. Searched for months before landing on this one and the even heat on the stovetop was worth the wait.
