Osta Staub valurautainen cocotte-pata

The lid fits so snugly that I barely lost any steam while simmering a pot of beef stew for hours. Cleanup was a breeze too, just a quick wipe with a sponge. This white cocotte is exactly what my kitchen needed.

I braised a whole chicken in this 7 quart round oven and the meat came out falling off the bone after two hours at low heat. The heavy lid seals so well that almost no liquid evaporated, which is a first for me with cast iron.

The white enamel coating cleans up way easier than my old bare cast iron, even after a sticky short rib braise. Seven quarts is bigger than I expected, but it fits a whole chicken with room to spare, and the heat stays incredibly even.
