Osta Staub valurautainen cocotte

The basil color is way prettier in person, more of a deep olive green than the photos show. I've made everything from short ribs to a whole chicken in it, and the 6 qt size handles a big batch without crowding. Cleans up easier than my old enameled pot too.

The wide shallow shape is perfect for braising short ribs and the 6 qt capacity fits enough for leftovers. Cast iron holds heat so well that I can sear on the stove and finish in the oven with one pan. The pig lid handle makes me smile every time I pull it out.

The basil color is even prettier in person, and the shallow wide shape gives so much more surface area for browning. I've used it for everything from braises to no-knead bread, and the heat retention is unreal.
