I've had this 5.5 qt round dutch oven for a few weeks now and the heat retention is seriously impressive. Braised short ribs came out fork tender after three hours in the oven, and cleanup was way easier than I expected for cast iron.

That peony pink color is even prettier in person than in the photos, and it looks great just sitting on my stove. The cast iron holds heat so evenly that my pot roast came out fork-tender after three hours. Heavy, sure, but worth it.

The peony pink color is even prettier in person and I love that the 5.5 qt size fits a whole chicken with room for veggies. I've used it for braising short ribs and the heat stays so even nothing scorches.
